As our operations in Türkiye continue to grow, we are looking for an organised, analytical, and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team.
About the Position
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play an important role in managing customer accounts, monitoring receivables, recording incoming payments, and supporting collection activities.
This position requires close collaboration with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure that customer balances are accurate, payment processes are managed efficiently, and financial records remain up to date.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities, communicating directly with customers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
Your Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
• Record, allocate, and reconcile incoming customer payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances, payment due dates, credit limits, and overdue receivables.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
• Support the preparation and processing of customer invoices, credit notes, and related financial documents.
• Investigate payment differences, account discrepancies, and invoicing-related issues.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and ensure that identified differences are resolved in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Sales team on customer balances, payment plans, credit limits, and order-related financial controls.
• Maintain accurate customer master data, including billing information, payment terms, and account details.
• Support the review and approval process for new customer accounts and credit requests.
• Prepare ageing, collection, overdue balance, and customer account reports.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support bank and balance sheet reconciliation processes when required.
• Maintain organised documentation for customer transactions, approvals, correspondence, and account changes.
• Provide supporting information and documentation during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable, reporting, and collection processes.
What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control, collections, accounting, or a similar finance role.
• Good understanding of customer account management and basic accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software; Microsof Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and head office.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the wider team.
